Helping those who
help animals.
OUR MISSION
American Animal Alliance was formed to support and empower animal rescue organizations, bridge collaboration among communities, shelters and humane societies to advocate for stronger animal rights, protections and education for care.
OUR VISION

A future where every animal rescue works together to ensure compassion, care, and justice for all animals.

Our community united in a collective effort to gather shoes for donation to Funds2Orgs.com to benefit The Harrison County Humane Society.
The Harrison County Humane Society has taken an exciting step forward by acquiring a facility in Scio, OH, that will be transformed into an adoption center and safe haven for animals in emergency situations.

Education
Through new partnerships, American Animal Alliance is empowering our community and youth with hands-on educational and volunteer experiences that make a difference for animals.

Donated Shelters For Those In Need
Shelters are donated and available in limited quantities. Requests are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, with careful consideration given to the urgency of each situation. If cats appear to be unspayed or unneutered, information provided may be shared with local Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs to help support humane population control efforts.
Requests from Harrison County, Ohio will take priority, however as support grows and additional supplies become available, we have expanded this program to take requests from surrounding counties. Shelter pick up locations will be determined once request is submitted, however current pick-up locations are only offered in Scio, OH and Cadiz, OH.
To help us continue this program and track shelter placements, recipients are required to follow us on social media and share a photo of the shelter once it has been placed. This also helps raise awareness for community cat care.
Links to our social media accounts are listed below.

Our work is made possible by caring community members who want to get involved. If you’re interested in volunteering, please complete our volunteer request form to share your availability, interests, and any skills or experience you’d like us to know about. From hands-on help to behind-the-scenes support, this information helps us connect volunteers with opportunities that are the best fit when needs arise.
In partnership with the Harrison County Humane Society, we’ve been proud to support several meaningful projects on their behalf that improve daily care for animals and the people who serve them. Recent efforts include securing donations for essential facility upgrades such as a new HVAC system, new toilet, new hot water tank, and a Catio for feline enrichment. We are currently exploring estimates and options for animal-friendly flooring in the kennels, as well as a potential washroom addition to further enhance the adoption center.
Projects

The Harrison County Humane Society of Ohio is always in need of temporary fosters, long-term fosters, and foster-to-adopt homes.
They are entirely foster-based and operate without funding, relying on dedicated foster homes to save and care for animals in need. While they are working to improve a small on-site shelter for immediate intakes, its purpose will be limited to short-term care—allowing animals to be bathed, assessed, and ensured healthy before moving into a home environment.
Opening your home, even for a short time, plays a vital role in giving these animals a safe place to land while they wait for their forever families.
